Sources & lifecycle

vreleases brings together VMware release and lifecycle information from official Broadcom sources. It is an independent project, not affiliated with VMware or Broadcom.

Lifecycle dates

End of Service is a manufacturer lifecycle milestone. End of General Support, Technical Guidance and extended support may have different dates or conditions. Your support entitlement depends on your agreement.

Where VMware lifecycle rules apply, vreleases derives an End of Service date from a parent release or product support line when no individual date is available. Every date marked Inherited is generated automatically. Verify it yourself against official VMware/Broadcom documentation before using it for planning or support decisions. An inherited date is not an individually confirmed lifecycle statement for that release.

An empty field means no verified information is available to this catalog, or no reviewed rule applies. It does not mean the information does not exist or the product is unsupported. Missing release-note links and End of Service dates remain blank.

Compatibility policy for Supervisor means support depends on compatible platform versions rather than a standalone Supervisor End of Service date. For vSphere 8.0 upgrades, see Broadcom's vCenter and Supervisor compatibility article. Check supported version combinations in the Broadcom Interoperability Matrix.

Freshness and accuracy

The release catalog is checked every six hours. Last checked shows the latest successful release-source check. Build numbers and release notes can become available after a release is first listed and are added when verified. Missing information remains unknown.

Product builds are shown where their meaning is clear. Different product variants are labelled; installer and helper-tool builds are not substituted for product builds. A release may link to shared release notes or additional patch notes that explicitly cover its version.

Errors, omissions and delays can occur. Verify information relevant to your environment against official sources before making upgrade or support decisions. Send feedback if you find an error.
