The person behind vreleases
I built vreleases to make VMware release information easier to find and follow. The idea grew out of conversations with customers: bringing releases, builds and lifecycle dates together, and making new patches easier to keep track of.
It also gave me a reason to get back into building software and explore AI-assisted development.
A bit about me
My background is in enterprise infrastructure, virtualization and end-user computing. I joined VMware (now part of Broadcom) in 2016, after working as a systems engineer, consultant and solutions architect across Microsoft, Citrix and VMware environments.
If you have an idea for vreleases, I’d like to hear it. And if you’re ever in Vienna, I’m always happy to chat over a beer. Get in touch.
I build and fund vreleases in my spare time, without company time or resources. It uses only publicly available information, never internal or confidential company information. This is an independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by VMware or Broadcom.
